Meet Dr. Kyle Nelson
Dr. Nelson is excited to be part of the Southern Minnesota Endodontics team. His goal is to provide outstanding endodontic care while ensuring a comfortable and satisfactory patient experience.
Dr. Kyle Nelson grew up in Minnesota. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at University of Minnesota-Duluth where he earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, as well as a M.S. in Chemistry. He received his dental degree from the University of Minnesota School Of Dentistry. After graduating, Dr. Nelson served as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy in Great Lakes, Illinois and in Beaufort, South Carolina. While serving at multiple boot camps and observing the number of teeth endodontists were able to save, his experiences led him to specialize in endodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD where he earned his certificate in Endodontics and a M.S. in Oral Biology. He maintains active memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Nelson and his wife Gretchen (originally from Mankato) and their three boys are very happy to be settled in Mankato. Life heavily revolves around the activities of the kids. When not chasing kids, he enjoys spending time at the lake boating and trying to get in a round of golf.
